DLSM RECEIVES "BIG READ" GRANT FROM NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
The Dyer Library and Saco Museum announced today that the organization has been chosen to receive a $7,500 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to host the Big Read in Saco. Together, the Dyer Library and Saco Museum are one of 75 not-for-profits—including arts and cultural organizations, libraries, and universities—to receive a grant to host a Big Read project between September 2010 and June 2011. The Big Read in Saco will focus on Mark Twain’s classic, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Activities and events will occur during the month of June 2011.
